Wonderful to meet up again with sculptor Tim Shaw, RA,  his partner Dina and Michael, a former school friend of Tim’s, for a Christmas catch-up.

I first met Tim four years ago when he gave a peer review of my work and that of other N. Irish artists at VAI‘s Belfast offices and talked about his art practice and how to succeed as an artist.

A member of the Royal Academy, and with a reputation on the UK and internatonal art scene, Tim’s recent work, Man On Fire, was commissioned by and is now a permanent exhibit outside the entrance to the Imperial War Museum in Manchester, England.

Having him as a friend and supporter of my art practice is both humbling and a joy.
