With an innate ability to put anyone at ease, Stephen is good with people.
Having first become interested in photography when he saw his first SLR sitting on a desk at his college library, Stephen began his photography career as a medical photographer. After sticking that for 5 months he moved on to become a photojournalist at Pacemaker, a small photo agency in Belfast Northern Ireland, during The Troubles in the early 80’s. During his three year tenure at Pacemaker Stephen won NI News Photographer of the Year two years back to back, when his work was on the covers of every national newspaper in the UK, Europe and the US.
Selling the editorial and PR photography studio he created in Belfast, and now a Green Card holder, Stephen emigrated with his family to Atlanta USA, where his career as an advertising photographer quickly took off (his Irish accent opening many a door!).
Fine Art Photography: beginning his journey of fine art creative discovery in 2015, Stephen’s fine art photographs of JMW Turner inspired hyper stylised skies over Ireland and Georgia USA, received Silver Awards at photography competitions of international repute, Prix De La Photographie Paris and Moscow International Foto Awards.
Stephen’s fine art work is in private collections in London UK, Manhattan USA, Munich Germany, Paris France and Belfast N. Ireland. Fan’ of Stephen’s fine art photography include actors Michael Sheen and Emmanuelle Béart.
